Chinese brands have made significant improvements in battery capacities, with even entry-level models now featuring at least 5,000 mAh batteries. In flagship devices, this capacity is even higher. However, according to reliable sources, the change Samsung is planning may not be as large-scale as expected.
Samsung will increase the battery with the Galaxy S26 series, but there will be no huge increases
According to industry insiders, Samsung will use high-energy-efficiency compact silicon-carbon battery technology in the Galaxy S26 series. This will allow the phones to have higher-capacity batteries and faster charging speeds.
Some reports have claimed that the battery capacities in the series will range between 6,000 and 7,000 mAh, with the Ultra model featuring a massive 7,000 mAh battery. However, a source named PandaFlashPro suggests that reaching such levels is unlikely.
Recent reports indicate that Samsung is preparing to make a move that will please users with the Galaxy S26 series. According to sources, early prototypes of the Galaxy S26 Ultra were tested with a 5,500 mAh battery, confirmed by five different sources. This suggests that while there will be a slight increase in battery capacity, a major jump to 7,000 mAh is not expected.
